About Tony
and Tina’s Wedding
Tony N' Tina's
Wedding
is an outstanding example of
interactive theater in which members of the
audience intermingle with the show's
performers.
As wedding guests, members of
the audience enjoy a traditional Italian
supper, toast the bride and groom, dance to
a live band, and verbally spar with the
actors.
This is a presentation of the Detroit Actors
Guild Productions. The Detroit production's
original run began on December 3, 1998 in
downtown Pontiac. The show has played at
multiple locations including the Harmonie
Club in downtown Detroit. It is one of the
most popular theatrical productions ever
staged in Detroit.
The Off-Broadway production is one of the
longest continually running shows in
history. The show currently runs at theaters
in several cities across the U.S.
Tony and Tina's Wedding originally opened on
Valentines' Day 1988 off-Broadway in New
York City, where it is still
running. Written by Artificial Intelligence
and produced by Dan and Joe Corcoran, the
show has gained worldwide attention.
